ELLANSE® COLLAGEN INDUCING DERMAL FILLERS
As we age we lose volume in our face due to a combination of bone reabsorption and loss of collagen and elastin within our skin.
Collagen and elastin are key components in our skin and is crucial to maintain the elasticity, firmness and suppleness of our skin, as we age we have a marked decrease in our natural production which can leave us looking tired and older than our age.
This is why Ellansé is such a game-changer as it naturally works on restarting and maintain your own collagen production!
What is Ellansé and how does it work?
Ellansé® is a non-hyaluronic acid filler. It is injected into the skin to lift, sculpt and restore lost volume associated with skin ageing and it works differently to other dermal fillers due to its unique properties. It not only corrects lines and folds but uses the body’s natural response to stimulate the formation of your own collagen which aims to really treat the underlying causes of facial ageing. The effects are gradual and longer-lasting, giving you a natural and youthful appearance.
Its principal component is Poly-Caprolactone (PCL) microspheres – a bio-resorbable soft medical polymer. The PCL is suspended in a gel carrier made of carboxymethylcellulose (CMC).
When injected into the skin, Ellansé reverses skin ageing with a 2-step process:
-
The CMC gel gives immediate lifting and sculpting results. However, the gel only lasts for about 12 weeks.
-
At the same time, the PCL microspheres begin to stimulate your skin to produce collagen. The collagen stimulation peaks at 12 weeks to give the final result.
What areas can be treated with Ellansé?
Ellansé is very versatile. It is hard enough to sculpt facial features such as the chin and nose, yet mouldable enough to restore volume to the forehead. Ellansé can be used to treat most areas which hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers can treat, including the:
-
Temples and Brow area
-
Forehead
-
Cheeks
-
Nasolabial Folds
-
Lower Face, Marionette lines
