Microneedling Treatment
Often referred to as Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT), micro needling comfortably creates thousands of controlled micro-injuries in the skin to trigger the body’s natural wound healing process, this process results in the formation and remodelling of collagen and elastin which supports the underlying tissue.
The new collagen that’s formed will help smooth out your skin’s appearance, helping to fill in fine lines, wrinkles and scars.
The procedure takes around a further 30 minutes. Afterwards your skin will feel tight and tender, almost like sunburn. Your barrier function is down for 24 hours. You are provided with aftercare advice and a recovery pack to use during this time for optimal results. Your skin will return to normal usually within 24-48 hours.
Micro needling is very well tolerated by most people and it is often described as a "sun burnt" feeling rather than painful. The depth of the micro needle can be adjusted to suit various parts of your body and face and inaccordance with your tolerance levels.
Numbing cream is generally not required but may be used upon request.
Course of 3-6 treatments 4-6 weeks apart are generally recomended, depending on the individual and their skin concern.
The cell regeneration cycle is around 28 days so the effect is often starting to be seen between 3-4 weeks. Full effect will be seen after the completed course of treatments

Most patients experiencing some mild redness to the treated area which will settle down by the end of the day.
